Rakau (AlphAroma, NZ)
Did someone say high alpha, high aroma hop variety? They must have been talking about Rakau! Tropical, fruity, and citrus aromas exude from this high alpha acid beauty. Originally bred and developed in New Zealand hop trials, its found life and a home in the US in many beer styles. Excellent bittering properties with exceptional aroma. Great for hop additions throughout the boil and for dry hopping.
Styles: Pale Ale, IPA, NE IPA, Wet Hop, Lagers, Fruit Substitutions: Amarillo, Summit, Cluster
Alpha Acid: 10-11% Beta Acid: 5-6%
